WHAT ARE moles?

Moles are best known as Talpidae. They are recognizable for their very sensitive snouts and long, clawed digits that they use to dig tunnels. Moles are small mammals that feed mainly on insects. Their eyes are poorly developed, but they use their sense of touch to make up for their poor vision.

Most moles live in meadows, grassland, woodland, wetland, or riparian habitats. With the burrow tunnels, it's easily noticeable if you have moles.

Are Moles Dangerous?

Like any wildlife animal, you must always take caution when handling or interacting. Moles do have sharp teeth and can bite in addition, their long paw can cause some harm. Always proceed with caution and wear heavy-duty gardening gloves if you are trying to help an injured mole.

WHY DO I HAVE A mole PROBLEM?

Moles are being drawn to your yard by the food source, they go after earthworms, crickets, grub, and other insets. If you have a well-irrigated yard, these mammals will migrate toward it for the food source it provides.
